Lake RV Living motto

From a recent Facebook post on one of my RV groups I came across the following:

Skip a stone

Take a hike

Sit a spell

Listen

Daydream

Just breathe

This is Lake Living

I think this is a great motto, an unofficial agenda for what RV camping near a lake is about. There is an abundance of time when you travel by RV, and I’ve noticed during the midst of my first trip of 7 nights in one camp, that it’s great to have so much time to do whatever you like.

The daily rhythm of coffee, breakfast, walk to take in the air, performing whatever chore of the day there is to do (such as reshuffling the inventory of the RV and truck, cleaning mold off the awning, going out to the nearest store to stock up on provisions), reading and just sitting in the chair staring in to the blue sky.

But I am drawn to water. It’s natural beauty, it’s calm, the sight of fish or turtle, the ripples coming across it…. The lake just never fails to renew and energize me. While it’s ideal to have it in clear view out the window of the Z-1, I still feel lucky to be at a camp with a lake. As the saying goes, just breathe….
