My dining room table now RV Ops staging center!

The process of “camping” is different for the RV. It’s basically trying to sort through duplicates of what you already own, and directing them to the bins that will go in to the truck (seen above in the window) and find their place in the travel trailer tomorrow.

Think of what won’t break easily based on what happens to the rig when going down the highway. Plus storage baskets and bungee cords and sticky cupboard liner and cups. Note the can of Dinty Moore beef stew, a tribute to the camping of my youth!

Plus the ukulele that I have been wanting to learn to play for the past couple of years. Part of what I want my RV journey to be is finally getting around to devoting time on the road to what I never have time for (i.e. being too lazy and unfocused) at home.

It’s supposed to be sunny and in the 50s here in PA tomorrow – a perfect day for taking the Z-1 off the lot and to the nearby campground. Then unloading all my stuff and making the enclosed box structure my home of the road. Still considering the name, and more to follow as time goes by in the rig over the coming months.

The idea becomes reality tomorrow – I feel excited and a bit nervous, but most of all ready to embark on this chapter of my life.
